WeWrite might eventually open source its codebase, or certain parts of its codebase. It's good to begin considering this in the early phase.

Partial open source

We might consider open sourcing certain parts of our codebase to establish trust surrounding some potentially murky parts, such as any recommendation algorithm or trend analysis type of software. We don't want to be unable to answer questions of bias or algorithmic manipulation.

Full open source

Considering the risk of censorship, having an open source strategy might be beneficial because we could release the code to allow our project to continue.
