Back Your Stack

+

Back Your Stack is a feature by OpenCollective which scans your GitHub repository to identify which open source packages or projects you're using in your codebase, and allows you to set donations to each of those projects.

This is a narrow use-case only for coders, but WeWrite's donation pools could broaden this to allow anyone to write up a page (for example, a project summary page) which could donate to all the contributors to that project.

GitHub has now begun offering similar functionality for users to scrub their top dependencies and become a supporter of those repositories. Again, this is a use-case limited only to code, whereas WeWrite seeks to donate to all dependencies, code or not.
